One amazing kid!!!!

I had to post this because I have to say what an amazing boy I have. Dillon is an amazing young man already. He seems to know when I need his help. He knows that Dad and Mom work all day and he is sensitive enough to know when I need some help. All I have to say is the house is a mess and he jumps up and takes care of it. I just walked into the kitchen and it was spotless. He cleans it just the way I like it - I have taught him well. You notice I said "I" taught him well. That's because his Dad hasn't figured out how to clean it yet after 13 years of marriage.

I have been very pleased with what he does and how he knows what his mom needs. He is so willing to do it and to help me with anything. Not only me but when he goes down to grandma's house he helps her there also.

I have been very blessed with some pretty special children and I love each of them very much.

Madisyn's last year in grade school

After today at 1:15 pm Madisyn is officially not in grade school anymore. I am not sure how time when so fast and neither does she. Madisyn had her 6th grade graduation last night and I am not sure how that happened. Just yesterday I was taking her for her first day of Kindergarten now she has blossomed into a beautiful 12 year old. They gave them all their awards last night for all of their accomplishments and Madisyn was on the honor roll which is a great accomplishment with all of the other activities Madisyn is in. She also was nominated for an awesome award where they ask all the teachers throughout the school to nominate a student and Madisyn was nominated for the Grandma Jay award. She didn't win but just the honor of being nominated brought tears to my eyes. And of course the Safety Patrol award - that was a well deserved one, going early and staying late and making sure those kids crossed the street safely, very important job. The 6th had projects all year long, very long and time consuming projects and last night was their last one called the wax museum. They had to research someone in American History and write a speech about them and then dress up like them. You had to walk around and if you wanted to hear their speech you had to push their button and they would come to life and tell all about that person. Madisyn's was Martha Washington and she did a great job. I think Madisyn realized last night that she only has today left and she will not be in grade school anymore and she cried and I cried and her teacher told her not to cry or it would make her cry. Life seems to be rolling right along and time doesn't seem to want to slow down.

CAMPING IN THE CAMPER

I know Memorial Day was a little while ago but I thought I would show you our camping trip. Some of you saw some of the pictures on Facebook, but I thought I would add a few more. The spot we were supposed to go was called Grouse Creek but we kind of missed the turn off for that place and just kept driving and driving and Joe kept saying I think we have gone to far. Well what was his mistake was my greatest excitement. We ended up at a campground that my grandparents took me to when I was younger that I totally remember.....Baumgartner campground. I was so excited!! We had a great time there is a hot springs and a nature trail and the Boise River runs right by the campground. I wished I would of had my bike because all the walking just about killed my old knees. The food always tastes better and looks pretty good too. The mud on Joe and Cameron's face is because they dared each other to dunk their faces in the mud and then almost threw up because of the smell. It was by far the most relaxing camping trip I have ever been on. I didn't even read a book. I tried to but I just wanted to sit and watch birds and watch the kids just enjoy themselves. That camping trip was needed for Joe and for me we both just needed to be with our own family and just relax. It was so fun!!!
