The work in Progress

Well --- pretty deep subject at our house!! Window Wells anyway -- Here is our finished project!!! Window wells are installed and we finished in 2 hours on Friday -- thank you kids!!! We waited until they got home and they shoveled dirt and rocks and we took them out the dinner as their reward for helping!!! But the finished project is complete and now to decide what to do with that area over there. Joe wants to fill in some more dirt and even it out and plant some sod over there. I really have no vision at all of what to do there -- just look at our backyard-- I have no visions at all - it just looks like a mess with gopher holes all over the place.

If somebody were just to go and do it for me that would be even better because some idea is better than no ideas at all........We can only take on one project at a time because it takes all of us to complete the one project.

Big Projects-Home Improvement

This is what you get for just letting a project not get done-- something happens and then you have to scramble to get it done fast......After having the sewer line moved we HAD to put in our window wells. So this is our nice neat digging job on the side of the house. Someone told it looked like a gravesite -- well it just might kill us trying to get it done. But it will be nice when it is completed, and just maybe I will put pictures of it on here after it is all done -- who knows--maybe they will just have to bury me in there.

We are just waiting for the big old galvanized steel well part of it to be delivered and then we take all of the dirt that the kids stamped down that is all hard now and pack it in behind it and call it good -- we also have to fill the bottom with pea gravel -- yeah for us.

Updating what has been happening

I always think I have to have a picture to update my blog but my camera hasn't always been out. I most recently had my camera out so here is my update to what we really have been doing around here. We bought a camper. No more setting up tents!! Not that I don't like to sleep in tents this is just easier. Now I can keep all the camping stuff in the the camper instead of rubbermaid boxes in the garage.
The kids wanted to sleep in the camper Saturday night and figured that it still is a little cold outside and froze their little toes off but wanted to do it again.
Great fun for the summertime coming !!!
